Mining engineers are versatile, working across a variety of specialist roles in the natural resources sector. They might take up roles focused on mine planning and design, automation systems, managing daily operations or leading land rehabilitation and reclamation efforts.

To be eligible, an applicant must have achieved the following minimum entry requirement and demonstrate they fulfil any prerequisite and essential criteria for admission. In cases where there are more eligible applicants than available places, admission will be competitive with ranks based on the entry criteria. - A completed 4-year bachelor or bachelor honours degree or higher in a field relevant to the chosen engineering specialisation from a recognised higher education institution.
