森林学硕士

森林作为生物多样性最丰富的陆地生态系统，是地球生命、行星健康与人类福祉的核心。遏制毁林与森林退化、恢复因不可持续利用而退化的景观中的森林、扩大森林在气候变化减缓与适应中的作用，这些全球性目标在不同地区既存在实施机遇也面临挑战。如今，传统原住民管理者管理着澳大利亚三分之一的森林，主要用于保护与环境服务；州政府机构管理着另外三分之一。人工林提供了我国大部分木材需求，农场林则提升了农业生产效率与可持续性。城市森林让城市更宜居，并改善居民福祉。来自可持续管理森林的木材常被称为"终极可再生资源"，如今已成为先进工程材料与建筑的基础。全球范围内，森林的多元形态及其为提供无数服务与产品而进行的可持续保护与管理方式，正在被重新构想。把握这些机遇并应对相关挑战既令人振奋又充满挑战，需要运用创新性跨学科方法解决问题，广泛汲取各学科与专业知识。通过修读涵盖广泛知识体系并应用于森林科学与管理的课程，你将培养整合与转化知识的能力，为复杂问题设计创新解决方案。
